Information
Nowadays, in industrial manufacturing, the consumption of red copper for non-ferrous metals is second only to aluminum. Red copper has excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, excellent plasticity, and is easy to process under hot and cold pressure. With the continuous increase in production demand, the use of red copper has gradually expanded. However, due to the fact that copper is prone to oxidation, deformation, evaporation, and pores during laser welding, it poses certain difficulties in welding, and correspondingly, there are more requirements for the selection of laser light sources. |
★ SUMMUS Xinhe Laser is committed to copper welding ★ |
SUMMUSLaser welding has the advantages of high energy density, low amount of molten metal, narrow heat affected zone, high welding quality and high output power, and is gradually being selected by more and more industries.
First, the difficulties of copper welding applications: Difficulty in blending and variability: Because the thermal conductivity of copper is relatively large, the heat transfer speed during welding is very fast, and the heat-affected zone of the entire weldment is also very large, it is difficult to blend all the materials together; and because the linear expansion coefficient of copper is very large, when welding is heated, the improper strength of the fixture will cause the material to be deformed. Porosity: Another important problem that occurs during copper welding is porosity, especially during deep penetration welding. The occurrence of porosity is mainly caused by two situations, one is the diffusion porosity that occurs directly when hydrogen dissolves in copper, and the other is the reaction porosity caused by redox reaction. When copper is in a liquid state, it dissolves more hydrogen. If the dissolved hydrogen does not precipitate and overflow from the copper in the weld, it forms an argon hole in the copper weld. Due to the excellent thermal conductivity of copper, the welding area dissipates heat quickly, making it difficult to heat the joints.
two,SUMMUSLaser welding copper method: The absorption rate of red copper to infrared laser at room temperature is about5%After heating to the melting point attachment, the absorption rate can be reached20%To achieve laser deep penetration welding of copper, it is necessary to increase the laser power density. |
★ SUMMUS high power laser welding copper ★ |
The high-power laser is used to cooperate with the swing welding joint, and the beam of light is used to stir the molten pool during deep penetration welding to expand the keyhole, which is easy to overflow gas, making the welding process more stable, less splash, and less micro-pores after welding.
III.SUMMUSLaser welding manufacturing process: Pretreatment: First, surface treatment is performed on the copper to remove oil, oxides, and other impurities to ensure the cleanliness and roughness of the welding surface, thus improving the welding quality. |
★ Ultrasonic treatment of surface oil stains and impurities ★ |
1. Positioning and clamping: The copper is precisely positioned according to the design requirements and clamped with a special fixture to prevent movement or deformation during welding. |
★ With tooling fixtures, welding is more accurate ★ |
2. Laser welding: startSUMMUSLaser welding equipment adjusts welding parameters (e.g. frequency, power, time, etc.) to rapidly heat up the welding area to a molten state. |
★ Intelligent adjustment of welding parameters, every step is welded accurately ★ |
3. Cooling and curing: After welding is completed, let the welding area cool naturally or use forced cooling to quickly solidify the weld and form a stable connection. |
★ The weld solidifies quickly, beautiful and crack-free ★ |
4. Post-processing: Clean, trim and test the welded copper samples to ensure that the dimensional accuracy, surface quality and airtightness meet the product requirements. |
★ Polishing and shaping ★ |
